The Most Important Leveling Tips To Keep You Going:
First off nobody likes running back from the graveyard all the time so here's some safety tips:
Always have a comfy seat to play, you don't want to get aches and pains while you're killing rabit bears/farmers. Just kidding though, you can stand and play if you want.
Always carry enough food, and water (you only need water if you use mana). This ensures that you have the least amount of downtime while leveling. Especially for classes that take a lot of damage this is essential. If your health is below 50% when after killing something, eat.

Try not to do quests that are more than 2 levels above you. Sure they give you more XP, but in the end you might have been able to do 2 lower level quests in the same time for the exact same XP, maybe even more. This will also save your resources.
If you have a higher level friend, use him/her. Sorry, did I say use? I meant abuse.. yeah get your friends to help out as much as possible. You can also accept higher level quests now because you have backup so it'll be easy enough.
Kill mobs if you have to wait for something. Grinding is good for leveling when you combine it with questing. On it's own grinding takes forever to level up with, but killing an extra creature if its close every now and then gives you tiny boosts. In leveling every bit helps.
Use your talent points wisely, you can always reset them later, but being the right spec while leveling will make things easier. For more info on what talents to choose for your class see Class Guides.
Level your professions as you go along. This might slow you down slightly, but it gives you something else to do for a bit when you get tired of questing. Leveling up your professions while you level up is also easier to do than it is once you reach level 80. The reason for this is that you're in contact with the resources more that you need more often as you level up.
Sell items at the Auction House for extra cash instead of normal vendors. Items like cloth can sell for quite a bit at the auction house and depending on your profession you might not need it at all.
Learn some skills while leveling. You have the ability to learn First Aid, Fishing and Cooking without having to sacrifice your two professions. Learning these can help you make some extra money, or you could use them for yourself.
Create a second character. If you're leveling up your first character create a second one but never play with it. Only use it to mail you new armor or goods from the auction house. This way you won't need to run back to town every time you're ready for some new armor. Just leave your second character in the city and go about leveling your main as usual.
Well that's about all there is to know about leveling. If you get impatient you could try out a leveling guide or just get some friends to help you out.
